Because of the difficulty getting appointments to get our rescue cats altered in a timely manner, we recently launched our pre-spay/neuter adoption program. The cat you are interested in may be part of this program and will have at least it’s first FVRCP vaccine, a microchip registered to us and will have been treated for internal and external parasites. Please fill out our screening form and after reviewing and confirming your information, our adoption counselor will reach out to you to explain the process.
Buddy is so very affectionate that if there are two people, will jump from lap to lap to give and receive equal attention. He loves to be brushed (and needs to be.) He does drool when petted, because he forgets to swallow, he gets so happy. Buddy was adopted as a kitten and returned to the shelter where he came from for reasons unknown at the age of 7. He was adopted out but returned because of aggression towards other animals. He must be adopted by himself. Having said that, it was explained to me that he scratched the elderly woman who adopted him and it got infected, so her family insisted he be returned - but, a kill shelter may not put that information down as it could be seen as human aggression, which he is anything but. Another rescue group saved him from the shelter and when I saw him, I said there is no way this boy is being boarded at the vet's office in a cubicle. In order to match the best home for our foster kitties, we ask folks to complete our adoption application in advance; simply go to www.candyscats.org/forms then fill out an Adoption Application. Please do not fill out the Adoption Contract first. We'll review your information and get back in touch with you. Cats are not adopted first-come, first-served, but rather to the best home for the kitty, but we do give consideration to the folks who take the time to fill out the application in advance.
