Candy's Cats

Because of the difficulty getting appointments to get our rescue cats altered in a timely manner, we recently launched our pre-spay/neuter adoption program. The cat you are interested in may be part of this program and will have at least it’s first FVRCP vaccine, a microchip registered to us and will have been treated for internal and external parasites. Please fill out our screening form and after reviewing and confirming your information, our adoption counselor will reach out to you to explain the process. 

Meet Sophia. Sophia is a DSH Siamese Lilac Lynx point female that was rescued from Orange County Animal Services, (along with her 4 kittens). She was someone's pet that was surrendered to OCAS due to her owner's illness which rendered her unable to continue to care for Sophia & her kittens. She was a young mother that provided great care to her kittens.  Sophia surprised us with a second litter while under the care of her foster family. Unbeknownst to anyone, she was pregnant with her second litter when she was rescued. Sophia was a  fiercely protective & doting mother that gave unwavering care to her kittens. She has all the wonderful characteristics of her breed with the strikingly large ears, slim figure, short coat with long tapering lines and blue eyes.  Sophia enjoys interaction with all the animals, (both cats and dogs) in her foster home. Sophia is very people friendly and loves to receive rubs and pets from her foster family. She is very trusting of human with her kittens and is completely domesticated. She likes to knead her paws upon sight of her foster mom. It is the opinion of this foster mom, that Sophia will make an amazing pet that will be forever loyal and accommodating. She has had all the experiences of a mother cat and is now ready to be loved and adored by her adoptive family.

Thank you for your interest in one of our adoptable kitties. All of our kitties are fully vetted (age-appropriate vaccines, spayed, tested for feline leukemia and feline aids, and they are microchipped.) They live in private foster homes with their foster families. Our adoption fees are $75 - $125.

In order to match the best home for our foster kitties, we ask folks to complete our adoption application in advance; simply go to www.candyscats.org/forms. You will need to register on our site, then fill out an Adoption Application. We'll review your information and get back in touch with you.

Cats are not adopted first-come, first-served, but rather the best home for the kitty, but we do give consideration to the folks who take the time to fill out the application in advance. Almost all of our volunteers work during the week; to be able to meet one of our cats by appointment during non-adoption days (Saturday, 11 - 4, Sunday 12 - 4), your application needs to be filled out in advance and approved by our adoption coordinator prior to scheduling an appointment to meet with the cats.
